Abilities

Alistar smashes the ground, Knocking Up enemies for 1.5 second and dealing 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 magic damage. (+80% AP)
Alistar rams into an enemy, Knocking them Back and dealing 55 / 110 / 165 / 220 / 275 magic damage. (+100% AP)
Alistar roars restoring ([ 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 ] +25% AP) Health to Alistar and ([ 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 ] +12.5% AP) Health to nearby allies. Nearby enemy deaths reduce this Ability's Cooldown by 2 seconds.
Alistar immediately cleanses all Disabling effects, gains 60 / 75 / 90 Attack Damage and takes 50 / 60 / 70% reduced damage for 7 seconds.
How Alistar plays
Editorial Reading of the kit above, not a sourced claim - the numbers inside it were checked against the client before publishing.
Alistar's entire kit is built around one combo: knock them up with Pulverize, then either headbutt them into your team or headbutt them away from yours. Which direction he swings it decides whether a fight starts or ends. Trample rewards him for casting anything at all, tacking on free area damage after every ability, so even a whiffed engage still chips the wave or a jungle camp. Triumphant Roar keeps him and his lane partner topped off during extended trades, and its cooldown shrinks every time something nearby dies, so skirmish-heavy lanes barely see it on cooldown. Unbreakable Will is the reason dive comps hate him, a full cleanse plus damage reduction plus attack damage that turns him into the wrong target to focus. He's slow and has no real poke, so he lives or dies by getting his hands on someone first.
Counters & matchups
Headbutt-Pulverize goes through squishy supports, but Black Shield blanks the knockup and Monsoon undoes the engage.
"In lane" means both champions are played in the same role in Classic; "across the map" represents cross-lane dynamics (e.g. jungler ganks, roaming supports). All matchups evaluated strictly within the 63 Classic launch champions.
