How Anivia plays
Editorial Reading of the kit above, not a sourced claim - the numbers inside it were checked against the client before publishing.
Anivia is one of the least forgiving champions to learn and one of the most rewarding once it clicks. Flash Frost is a slow-moving chunk of ice that can be recast to detonate early, turning a dodgeable skillshot into a stun nobody sees coming, and Crystallize drops an actual wall that can split an enemy team in half mid-chase. Frostbite rewards patience by doubling its damage on anything already chilled, so her real damage window opens right after Flash Frost lands. Glacial Storm is a toggled zone that slows attack and move speed the whole time it's up, brutal in a static fight but a mana sink if she just leaves it running. Rebirth is what lets her play so aggressively despite having almost no mobility: die and she reverts to an egg instead, and if it survives six seconds she comes back. Positioning is everything for her since she has no dash and no blink, just a wall and a lot of patience.
Counters & matchups
Crystallize cuts off anyone who has to walk at her; assassins with a gap-closer beat her before the egg matters.
"In lane" means both champions are played in the same role in Classic; "across the map" represents cross-lane dynamics (e.g. jungler ganks, roaming supports). All matchups evaluated strictly within the 63 Classic launch champions.
