How Lee Sin plays
Editorial Reading of the kit above, not a sourced claim - the numbers inside it were checked against the client before publishing.
Lee Sin rewards precision more than almost anyone else on this list, since half his kit only unlocks the follow-up if the first part actually connects. Sonic Wave scouts and damages, and only if it hits does Resonating Strike become available to dash in behind it. The same logic runs through Safeguard into Iron Will and Tempest into Cripple, each one a setup spell that opens into something stronger. Flurry rewards using those abilities constantly, granting bonus attack speed and energy back on his next two hits after any ability. Dragon's Rage closes it all out with a kick that sends an enemy flying into anyone behind them, which combos beautifully with allies positioned to punish whoever gets launched. He runs on energy rather than mana, so the real limit on him isn't resources, it's how cleanly he can land that opening hit before committing to the rest of the combo.
Counters & matchups
Energy costs mean he fights at any point in the clear and beats junglers who need a full camp first; armor and scaling beat him late.
"In lane" means both champions are played in the same role in Classic; "across the map" represents cross-lane dynamics (e.g. jungler ganks, roaming supports). All matchups evaluated strictly within the 63 Classic launch champions.
