How Zilean plays

Time is Zilean's whole theme, literally, and Chronoshift is the clearest example: mark an ally, and if they'd otherwise die while that mark is active, they come back instead with a real chunk of health restored. That single spell has flipped more fights than almost anything else on this list, since the other team often plays as if the kill already happened. Time Bomb rewards patience and setup, sitting on a target for several seconds before detonating, though placing a second bomb on the same target detonates the first one instantly, which opens up some clever double-bomb timing. Time Warp is flexible utility, hasting an ally out of danger or slowing an enemy trying to escape, whichever the moment calls for. Rewind shaves a big chunk of time off his own other cooldowns, letting him loop back to Time Bomb or Chronoshift faster than the rest of his kit would normally allow. Heightened Learning quietly speeds up experience gain for him and his allies just by existing. He has very little personal damage, so his entire value is in stalling out death and buying time for someone else to matter.
