Starter Guide: Crit Parrrley Gangplank (Top) Top

Crit Parrrley Gangplank farms gold and lands crits off the same button, Parrrley (Q), while Cannon Barrage (R) lets him help a fight he is nowhere near.

Gangplank brawls in his own lane and still turns up in everyone else's. Parrrley (Q) is a targeted auto-attack: it crits, it applies Grog-Soaked Blade poison slows, and on a minion kill it hands back mana and extra gold. Remove Scurvy (W) cleanses all crowd control and heals him on the spot.

• Starting Items: Crystalline Flask, 2 Health Potions, and 1 Mana Potion for non-stop Q Parrrley poke and Remove Scurvy W sustain.
• Core Build Rush: Ionian Boots of Lucidity (reduces cooldown of Parrrley Q and Cannon Barrage R), Statikk Shiv (Parrrley Q acts as a ranged basic attack that can critically strike and trigger Statikk Shiv lightning procs across entire minion waves or enemy champions), Trinity Force (increases Parrrley damage with Sheen procs while granting movement speed via Phage on hit), and Infinity Edge (turns Parrrley into a 1000+ damage critical strike nuke).
• Situational Options: The Black Cleaver (armor reduction), Warmog's Armor, Randuin's Omen, and Atma's Impaler (converts HP into bonus AD).

• Flash (or Ghost) and Teleport.
• Max Q (Parrrley) first for gold farming and poke damage. Max W (Remove Scurvy) second for lane sustain and CC cleanse. Max E (Raise Morale) third for movement speed and AD aura.

Combos worth drilling

• Parrrley Crit Farm: Farm minions with Q (Parrrley) to stack extra gold. When enemy trades, Q them to apply Grog-Soaked Blade poison slow.
• Orange Cleanse: Hold W (Remove Scurvy) until enemy lands hard CC (stuns, suppresses, Ignite) -> tap W to heal HP and instantly break CC.

Mistakes to avoid

• Don't waste W Remove Scurvy for simple HP heals: Save W for CC cleansing during enemy ganks.
• Don't miss Cannon Barrage (R) across the map: Watch global team fight health bars; drop R on bot lane fights to turn 2v2s into double kills.

• Early Game (Levels 1-5): Last-hit minions with Parrrley (Q) to rack up extra gold. Hold W Remove Scurvy to cleanse enemy CC (Hardness/Stuns/Ignite).
• Mid Game (Levels 6-11): Cast Cannon Barrage (R) globally across the map to assist bot lane fights or secure Dragon while remaining in top lane to farm.
• Late Game (Levels 12+): Look for big Statikk Shiv + Infinity Edge Parrrley crits on enemy squishies. Pop Raise Morale (E) to boost your team's movement speed in fights.
