Guide & Strategy Breakdown
HP Regen Mundo goes where he pleases and there is not much anyone can do about it. Maximum Dosage (R) puts the health back; Sunfire Cape and Burning Agony (W) burn whatever stands next to him.
HP Regen Mundo goes where he pleases and there is not much anyone can do about it. Maximum Dosage (R) puts the health back; Sunfire Cape and Burning Agony (W) burn whatever stands next to him.
How it plays
Every point of bonus health Mundo buys makes everything else he owns better. Goes Where He Pleases regenerates 0.3% max HP per second by itself. Infected Cleaver (Q) takes up to 25% of a target's current health no matter what they built, and Maximum Dosage (R) restores up to 60% max HP and sends him at you a great deal faster.
What to buy
- Starting Items: Doran's Shield and Health Potion (or Cloth Armor + 5 Health Potions).
- Core Build Rush: Ninja Tabi (reduces incoming basic attack damage from enemy marksmen while diving towers), Sunfire Cape (stacks immolate magic burn on top of Burning Agony W AoE damage, turning Mundo into a walking firestorm), Spirit Visage (amplifies Maximum Dosage R health regeneration by +20%, making Mundo restore over 70% of his total health pool during ultimate channels), and Warmog's Armor (a large flat HP pool boosts Goes Where He Pleases passive regen and scaling durability).
- Situational Options: Randuin's Omen (active slow field), Thornmail (reflects basic attack damage), Wit's End (attack speed for E Masochism + MR), and Guardian Angel.
Summoners and skill order
- Flash (or Ghost) and Teleport.
- Max Q (Infected Cleaver) first for farming and % current HP poke. Max W (Burning Agony) second for CC crowd control reduction and AoE magic burn. Max E (Masochism) third for the flat AD.
New to the champion?
Combos worth drilling
- Cleaver Poke & Chase: Hit Q (Infected Cleaver) from range -> active E (Masochism) for bonus AD -> turn on W (Burning Agony) -> run down target while perma-slowing with Cleavers.
- R Regen Bait: Let your HP drop to 30% during top lane trade -> pop R (Maximum Dosage) -> gain movement speed and restore 60%+ HP while enemy cooldowns are down.
Mistakes to avoid
- Don't leave W Burning Agony running: W drains your own HP every second. Turn it off when not in active combat.
- Don't activate R Maximum Dosage at full HP: R costs 20% of your current HP on cast. Use it when low for maximum regen efficiency.
Playing it out
- Early Game (Levels 1-5): Farm safely from range with Infected Cleaver (Q) if countered. Trade with E Masochism (+40 to +100 AD) when enemies step close.
- Mid Game (Levels 6-11): Turn on Maximum Dosage (R) during top lane 1v1s or 1v2 ganks to absorb tower shots and enemy cooldowns while perma-slowing with Cleavers.
- Late Game (Levels 12+): Run into the middle of the enemy team with W Burning Agony (+30% tenacity) active, disrupting enemy carries and absorbing all focus damage.
