Guide & Strategy Breakdown

Drain tank Warwick. Every autoattack heals through Eternal Thirst, so the build is about making those autoattacks worth healing from.

Drain tank Warwick. Every autoattack heals through Eternal Thirst, so the build is about making those autoattacks worth healing from.

How it plays

Warwick is the drain-tank the title promises: every autoattack heals through Eternal Thirst, and this build makes the autoattacks worth healing from.

What to buy

  • Madred's Bloodrazor is the build - 4% of max health as magic damage on every hit turns Warwick into a tank shredder, and its attack speed feeds the passive's stacking lifesteal.
  • Mercury's Treads because a Warwick who gets kited is a minion; tenacity keeps Infinite Duress reachable.
  • Wit's End stacks more on-hit magic damage and the magic resist to walk through mages while doing it.
  • Spirit Visage amplifies every source of healing he has - passive, Hungering Strike, and lifesteal - while adding the cooldown reduction that brings Infinite Duress back sooner.

Situational Options

  • Frozen Mallet when nobody else on the team can stick to a target.
  • Randuin's Omen into crit and attack-speed carries.
  • Banshee's Veil to stop the one spell that would interrupt Infinite Duress.
  • Guardian Angel when you are the engage and expect to pay for it.

Summoners and skill order

  • Flash and Smite (or Ignite / Exhaust).
  • Max core damage ability first, secondary utility second.

New to the champion?

Combos worth drilling

  • Infinite Suppression: Pop W (Blood Scent) movement speed -> R (Infinite Duress) leap suppression -> Hungering Strike (Q) % max HP bite sustain.
  • Blood Scent Chase: Automatically gain up to +80% movement speed when moving toward enemy champions below 50% HP.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Don't cast R Infinite Duress when enemy CC is up: Enemy stuns will interrupt your suppression channel immediately.
  • Don't ignore Q Hungering Strike holding: Hold Q to swing around behind the target, dodging skillshots and following their dashes.

Playing it out

Clear everything - Warwick's sustain makes him the healthiest first-clear jungler in the game - and gank the lanes where a point-and-click suppression is a death sentence. Hunters Call is a real dueling steroid: use it on the enemy jungler in their own camps. In teamfights, walk at the carry; Bloodrazor plus Wit's End means ignoring you is a mistake and killing you takes too long.

  • Additional Options: Hunter's Machete
