Guide & Strategy Breakdown
Tumble Hypercarry Vayne is what you pick into tanks. Silver Bolts (W) takes % max HP as true damage, Tumble (Q) repositions, and Final Hour (R) makes her genuinely hard to see coming.
Tumble Hypercarry Vayne is what you pick into tanks. Silver Bolts (W) takes % max HP as true damage, Tumble (Q) repositions, and Final Hour (R) makes her genuinely hard to see coming.
How it plays
Vayne rewards the player more than the build, which is most of the appeal in Season 3. Night Hunter gives +30 movement speed whenever she moves at an enemy champion. Silver Bolts (W) takes up to 8% of a target's maximum HP as true damage on every 3rd consecutive attack, so buying health does not save anyone. Final Hour (R) triples the Night Hunter speed, adds flat AD and hides Tumble (Q) for 1 second.
What to buy
- Starting Items: Doran's Blade and Health Potion.
- Core Build Rush: Berserker's Greaves (high attack speed ramps up Silver Bolts procs while movement speed enhances Night Hunter passive chasing), Blade of the Ruined King (absolute core item; attack speed and active slow synergize perfectly with Silver Bolts W % max HP true damage on every 3rd attack), Phantom Dancer (Tumble Q resets auto-attack timers while Phantom Dancer provides high crit and mobility), and Last Whisper (ensures physical attacks deal high damage alongside true damage procs).
- Situational Options: Final Hour (R) + Infinity Edge (ultimate grants bonus AD and 1s Tumble stealth while Infinity Edge multiplies crit damage), The Bloodthirster, Guardian Angel, and Quicksilver Sash.
Summoners and skill order
- Flash and Barrier (or Cleanse against heavy CC).
- Max Q (Tumble) or W (Silver Bolts) first (Q for 2-second cooldown mobility/stealth, W for % max HP true damage shredding). Max E (Condemn) third for knockback/wall stun.
New to the champion?
Combos worth drilling
- Tumble Stealth Duel: Turn on R (Final Hour) -> Tumble (Q) for 1s invisibility -> auto -> Silver Bolts (W) 3rd hit % max HP true damage -> E (Condemn) wall stun.
- Condemn Wall Pin: Angle yourself so enemy champion is between you and a wall -> press E to knock them into the wall for a 1.5s stun.
Mistakes to avoid
- Don't Tumble (Q) forward blindly: Save Q to dodge skillshots or tumble sideways while invisible under R.
- Don't use E Condemn without a wall pin: Using E without a wall pin pushes enemy targets away to safety.
Playing it out
- Early Game (Levels 1-5): Play safe. Use Tumble (Q) to dodge skillshots and reset auto-attacks. Pin overextending enemy supports against lane walls with Condemn (E) for a 1.5s stun.
- Mid Game (Levels 6-11): Complete Blade of the Ruined King. Pop Final Hour (R) during 1v1 or 2v2 trades, using 1-second Tumble stealth to out-play enemy skillshots.
- Late Game (Levels 12+): In 5v5 fights, tumble through fog of war with Final Hour invisibility. Shred 4000 HP tanks with Silver Bolts % max HP true damage while remaining completely un-touchable.
