Hypercarry Tristana out-ranges everyone by the late game thanks to Draw a Bead, then adds a Rapid Fire (Q) 90% attack speed steroid on top of it.
How it plays
Tristana is worth protecting because by the late game she out-ranges the people trying to kill her. Draw a Bead adds 9 range per level, reaching 703 at level 18. Rapid Fire (Q) is +90% attack speed for 7 seconds. Buster Shot (R) executes, and throws whoever survives 1000 units backward.
What to buy
- Starting Items: Doran's Blade and Health Potion.
- Core Build Rush: Berserker's Greaves (attack speed stacks with Rapid Fire Q +90% attack speed steroid), Infinity Edge (absolute core damage multiplier; amplifies critical strike damage to capitalize on Rapid Fire Q +90% attack speed steroid), Phantom Dancer (high attack speed and crit chance synergize with Draw a Bead passive 703 range at level 18 to melt teams from safety), and Last Whisper (ensures late-game 703-range auto-attacks shred through enemy armor tanks).
- Situational Options: Rocket Jump (W) + Buster Shot (R) + The Bloodthirster (W resets on kill/assist for aggressive chasing while R knocks diving tanks 1000 units away; Bloodthirster provides lifesteal sustain), Statikk Shiv, Guardian Angel, and Quicksilver Sash.
Summoners and skill order
- Flash and Barrier (or Cleanse).
- Max E (Explosive Shot) or W (Rocket Jump) first for early lane trade damage and reset jumps. Max Q (Rapid Fire) second so it hits 90% attack speed as Infinity Edge completes.
New to the champion?
Combos worth drilling
- 90% AS Hypercarry Melt: Turn on Q (Rapid Fire) +90% attack speed steroid -> pelt enemies from 703 auto-attack range (Draw a Bead passive at level 18).
- Reset Jump Chasing: W (Rocket Jump) -> E (Explosive Shot) -> auto -> upon kill/assist (W reset), jump immediately to next target.
Mistakes to avoid
- Don't jump (W) forward into 5 enemies: Save W to jump away over walls if enemy bruisers dive you.
- Don't save Buster Shot (R) only for kills: Use R defensively to blast diving assassins 1000 units away from you.
Playing it out
- Early Game (Levels 1-5): Trade with E Explosive Shot passive/active damage. Rocket Jump (W) resets on champion kill or assist, allowing aggressive tower dives.
- Mid Game (Levels 6-11): Farm towards Infinity Edge + Phantom Dancer. Use Buster Shot (R) defensively to knock away enemy jungler ganks.
- Late Game (Levels 12+): At level 18, stand at 703 auto-attack range. Turn on Q Rapid Fire (+90% AS) and melt enemy teams from complete safety. Save Rocket Jump to reposition if dived.
