Guide & Strategy Breakdown
Siphoning Stack Nasus never stops growing. Siphoning Strike (Q) keeps its stacks forever, Wither (W) takes an ADC out of the fight, and Fury of the Sands (R) burns max HP off everyone nearby.
Siphoning Stack Nasus never stops growing. Siphoning Strike (Q) keeps its stacks forever, Wither (W) takes an ADC out of the fight, and Fury of the Sands (R) burns max HP off everyone nearby.
How it plays
Give Nasus enough time in Season 3 and he stops being a champion and starts being a problem. Soul Eater grants up to 20% Lifesteal for nothing. Siphoning Strike (Q) gains a permanent +3 damage for every minion it kills, and nothing ever takes those stacks back. Wither (W) cuts movement speed by up to 95% and attack speed by 47.5%, which is most of what an ADC contributes.
What to buy
- Starting Items: Doran's Shield and Health Potion (or Cloth Armor + 5 Health Potions).
- Core Build Rush: Ninja Tabi (reduces incoming basic attack damage while farming Q), Trinity Force (Sheen procs double Siphoning Strike Q stack damage, turning a 300-stack Q into a 700+ damage auto-attack), Frozen Heart (provides 20% CDR to stack Q continuously, 95 Armor, and an aura that slows enemy ADC attack speed by 20%), and Spirit Visage (increases Soul Eater passive lifesteal by +20% and grants CDR for Siphoning Strike).
- Situational Options: Fury of the Sands (R) + Randuin's Omen (ultimate grants bonus HP and AoE % max HP burn, while Randuin's active slows fleeing enemies), Sunfire Cape, Last Whisper, and Guardian Angel.
Summoners and skill order
- Ghost (for sticking to targets during Wither) and Teleport.
- Max Q (Siphoning Strike) first to reduce its cooldown for stacking. Max W (Wither) second for attack speed crippling. Max E (Spirit Fire) third for flat armor reduction.
New to the champion?
Combos worth drilling
- Siphoning Stack Auto-Reset: Auto-attack minion -> press Q (Siphoning Strike) to reset attack timer -> gain permanent +3 Q stack on kill.
- Wither & Raid Boss Ult: Pop R (Fury of the Sands) for bonus HP -> cast W (Wither) 95% slow on enemy ADC -> walk up and 2-shot them with 500+ stack Qs.
Mistakes to avoid
- Don't push waves early: Freeze minion wave outside your top tower. Focus exclusively on Q stacking for the first 15 minutes.
- Don't waste mana on E Spirit Fire early: E drains mana fast. Only use Q to last hit minions.
Playing it out
- Early Game (Levels 1-5): Freeze the minion wave near your top tower. Focus exclusively on last-hitting every single minion with Q Siphoning Strike.
- Mid Game (Levels 6-11): Reaching 300+ Q stacks, transform into a 1v1 juggernaut. Activate Fury of the Sands (R) for bonus HP and AoE % max HP burn.
- Late Game (Levels 12+): Pop Ghost + R + Wither on the enemy ADC. Walk through enemy CC and 2-shot enemy carries with 500+ stack Sheen Q procs.
