Guide & Strategy Breakdown
Trinity Force Ezreal pokes at range with Mystic Shot (Q) and resets his position with Arcane Shift (E), so there is never a point in a fight where he has nothing to press.
Trinity Force Ezreal pokes at range with Mystic Shot (Q) and resets his position with Arcane Shift (E), so there is never a point in a fight where he has nothing to press.
How it plays
In Season 3 Ezreal is hard to catch and harder to pin down. Mystic Shot (Q) carries on-hit effects, so Sheen and Trinity Force fire off it, and every hit takes 1 second off all his cooldowns. Rising Spell Force stacks up to 50% bonus attack speed as spells connect.
What to buy
- Starting Items: Doran's Blade and Health Potion.
- Core Build Rush: Berserker's Greaves (boosts attack speed to stack Rising Spell Force passive +50% AS rapidly during trades), Trinity Force (Phage slows, Zeal speed, and Sheen procs trigger directly on long-range Mystic Shot Q hits), The Bloodthirster (grants high AD and lifesteal, keeping Ezreal healthy while poking with Mystic Shot before fights), and Last Whisper (ensures Mystic Shot on-hit physical damage punches through heavy armor tanks).
- Situational Options: Infinity Edge, Statikk Shiv, Guardian Angel, and Quicksilver Sash.
Summoners and skill order
- Flash (double blink with Arcane Shift) and Barrier.
- Max Q (Mystic Shot) first for damage and CDR reduction. Max E (Arcane Shift) second for mobility cooldown. Max W (Essence Flux) third. Level R at 6, 11, 16.
New to the champion?
Combos worth drilling
- Q-Auto Weaving: Mystic Shot (Q) -> Auto-attack -> Q -> Auto. Mystic Shot reduces all ability cooldowns by 1 second on hit.
- Blink Poke: E (Arcane Shift) sideways into range -> W (Essence Flux) -> Q -> Auto. Use E defensively if enemy jungler is missing.
Mistakes to avoid
- Don't Arcane Shift (E) forward into melee range: E is your only blink escape. Blinking forward into enemy bruisers guarantees death.
- Don't miss Trueshot Barrage (R): Cast R from fog of war or on CC'd targets so enemies cannot dodge the global projectile.
Playing it out
- Early Game (Levels 1-5): Stack Rising Spell Force passive with Q and W before trading. Arcane Shift (E) away from skillshots or CC.
- Mid Game (Levels 6-11): Snipe minion waves or low-health enemies across the map with Trueshot Barrage (R). Poke with Mystic Shot to trigger Trinity Force Sheen procs continuously.
- Late Game (Levels 12+): Never get caught. Use Arcane Shift + Flash to reposition around tanks and melt targets with continuous Q-auto skillweaving.
